Meet the Teacher

I am so excited that your child is in my classroom.
It is important to me to make personal connections with each child so that I am better able to individualize instruction and learning so that students can reach their full potential.

I would also like each parent and guardian to know about me as well so that we can communicate effectively as a team.

Here's a little information about me.

Emily Houck

7th Grade ELA Teacher

Born in England, I am an immigrant and now a dual-citizen.
I live on the West End of Allentown with my husband, Ricky, and our many pets (pitbull, tortoise, turtle, leopard gecko, guinea pigs, and fish).

I love music and theater and will often be heard singing in my classroom.

I earned my undergraduate degree at Desales University and will be graduating with my Masters in Teaching and Learning from Lehigh University soon.
